B Ethiopia: b Africa's biggest carrier Ethiopian Airlines said it had suspended two pilots who reportedly fell asleep and missed their landing during a flight from B Sudan b 's capital Khartoum to Addis Ababa. The state-owned airline saw a 79% jump in revenue to US$5bn for 12 months to July while profit skyrocketed 90% to $937m, according to the country's sovereign wealth fund Ethiopian Investment Holdings (EIH). The airline, which has been stuck in the red for years and is relying on state bailouts, reported a 76% increase in revenue to KSh48.1bn (about $400m) over the same period as passenger numbers almost doubled to 1.6m.
