- Abstract
Objective To detect the expression level of miRNA-466 in blood samples from patients with lung cancer and other respiratory diseases in Hainan, and further analyze its clinical value in the diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer. Methods Totally 50 patients with lung cancer were selected as the case group, and 50 patients with non-lung cancer were selected as the control group. The miRNA in the blood of the study subjects was extracted, and the expression level of miRNA- 466 was detected by real-time PCR.The differences in miRNA-466 expression levels between cases and controls, and the effects of different age, sex, alcohol consumption, and smoking status on the expression level of miRNA-466 in the case group were analyzed. The binary logistic regression method was used to explore influence factors on the incidence of lung cancer, and to determine risk factors of lung cancer. To construct a receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve to assess the value of miRNA-466 in the diagnosis of lung cancer. Results The expression level of miRNA-466 in the blood of patients with lung cancer was significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.05).In the lung cancer group, the expression level of miRNA- 466 in patients with smoking history was significantly higher than that in patients without smoking history, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.001).Logistic regression results showed that the expression level of miRNA-466 was a high risk factor for lung cancer (P<0.05).The area under the ROC curve (AUC) was 0.615, the sensitivity was 46%, the specificity was 80%, the Yoden index was 0.260, and the corresponding cutoff value was 0.265.Conclusions miRNA-466 may be a biomarker for the diagnosis of lung cancer.
