SE FONDRE DANS LA VILLE MEURTRIÈRE: La ville de cape et d'épée chez Michel Zévaco et Arturo Pérez-Reverte.
- Authors
Roudier, Luce
- Abstract
The swashbuckling novel, which would seem rather removed from urban novelistic imaginaries, maintains an intimate, organic connection with the city. Upon examination, throughout the novels of Michel Zévaco and Arturo Pérez-Reverte, the city indeed appears essential to the creation of the plot and indispensable to the adventurous and historical component represented by the cape and sword. At the same time, its presence triggers a constantly reinvigorated evocation of its own literary memory.
