- Abstract
The article explores the pragmatic idealism and the scholarship of U.S. professor Melvyn Durchslag. It notes the devotion of Durchslag to the work of the American Civil Liberties Union and had his classes reflected with passionate testimony to the power of ideas in the U.S. It mentions the potential of Durchslag to train a generation of lawyers to immerse themselves in legal doctrine and theory. The essentiality of the writings of Durchslag to help change the constitutional law is cited.
