The effects of a regional telepathology project: a study protocol.
- Abstract
The article informs on the use of telepathology, developed by the Laval University Integrated Health Network, for diagnosis of diseases and patient referral, in Canada. It is mentioned that telepathology is a type of telemedicine which involves electronic transmission of pathological images for case referral and obtaining expert opinions. Also, three-step study protocol was used for the research. It is observed that the project is expected to make positive contribution in health care globally.
