- Abstract
An editorial is presented expressing the challenges in evaluating patients with breathlessness, particularly in distinguishing heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) from other diagnoses in the presence of preserved left ventricular ejection fraction. It discusses alternative and simpler diagnostic methods, such as using passive leg lifting (PLL) in conjunction with echocardiography, to estimate left ventricular filling pressures noninvasively.
