The article presents information on the work of various members of the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) in the field of gynecologic cancers in the U.S. Robin Cohen, a radiation oncology nurse at Lankenau Hospital in Philadelphia, launched the Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Foundation Inc., an advocacy group for patients with ovarian cancer. ONS members like Cohen serve as change agents to ensure that appropriate nursing care is delivered to women diagnosed with ovarian and the other "forgotten" cancers.
