- Abstract
The article offers a study on the addition of osteoconductive compound in the management of a maxillary fracture in a boa constrictor (Boa constrictor amarali). It says that the biomaterials tri-calcium phosphate, hydroxyapatite, and octacalcium phosphate were applied after the initiation of fracture reduction and mucosal suture. It states that these compounds, having osteointegrative and osteoconductive properties, had increased the healing of rate of the bone.
