- Abstract
This study aims to identify the influences of seasonality and the meteorological weather conditions in winter situations, on the occurrence of the cardiovascular diseases mortality in the city of Limeira - SP. The characteristics of seasonal variation were observed through the relation between the thermal monthly variation over the year 2010 and the total monthly ocurrences of death registrations. In the approach of the weather types, was worked through the technique of rhythmic analysis, the relation between mortality and daily variations of the elements: temperature (maximum and absolute minimum), humidity (maximum and minimum) and accumulated rainfall, identifying the systems that generate the weather types. It was found the influence of seasonality in cardiovascular mortality, with most deaths occurring in the months with lower temperatures, during the winter. It was also found that the weather types of winter with large daily temperature range, with low absolute temperatures, sequences of weather types with extreme drop in temperature or atmospherics conditions that precede the frontal action and the proximity of the low-pressure centers resulted in a greater number of deaths from cardiovascular diseases.
