- Abstract
This document is a reply to a letter discussing the effect of adjuvant treatment on survival in 2023 FIGO stage IIC endometrial cancer. The authors of the reply express appreciation for the research conducted by Dr. Utku Akgor, which analyzed prognostic factors in patients with this type of cancer and evaluated the impact of adjuvant treatment on survival. While both studies focused on the same population, they found different prognostic factors and patient subgroups that benefited from adjuvant treatment. The authors emphasize the importance of accurately classifying patients with different extents of lymphovascular space invasion (LVSI) and myometrial invasion (MI) to determine prognosis and treatment options. They also suggest incorporating molecular information into future research to optimize the management of endometrial cancer.
