- Abstract
The article discusses the phenomenon of "neurophobia," which refers to the fear and aversion towards neurology among medical students and junior doctors. The authors highlight the negative impact of neurophobia on patient care and the shortage of specialists in the field. They identify factors such as inadequate education, lack of exposure to clinical neurology, and misconceptions about the field as contributors to neurophobia. The authors propose potential solutions, including improving neurology education through interactive teaching methods and increasing interaction between neurologists and other medical professionals. They emphasize the importance of addressing neurophobia to enhance the quality of care for patients with neurological disorders.
