- Abstract
The article discusses the prevalence of intraperitoneal bladder rupture (IBR) which requires operative intervention. Topics mentioned include the occurence of IBR at the bladder's dome, the association of the presence of gross hematuria and the diagnosis of IBR and the use of computed tomography cystogram and conventional cystogram on the diagnosis of the disease. The significance of laparoscopic bladder repair for the fast recovery and better outcome for patients with IBR is also emphasized.
