- Abstract
The article presents news items related to drug addiction and drug control. The Youth Access to Alcohol Committee of the National Association of Attorneys General has forged an agreement with MillerCoors to end the production of the Sparks brand of caffeinated alcohol. A study reported in the "British Medical Journal" suggests that consuming caffeine during pregnancy is associated with an increased risk of fetal growth restrictions. A 2009 survey of eighth, tenth and twelfth graders in the U.S. that was conducted by the National Institute on Drug Abuse indicates that cannabis use among students has remained stable and that a downward trend in cigarette and alcohol use among students is continuing.
