- Abstract
The article examines the Amazon Cloud Player, focusing on the question of whether Amazon.com needs a license in order for users who have legally purchased copyright protected music to store and enjoy that music on the Player. An introduction to the Amazon Cloud Player, with a focus on its development, is offered. It presents copyright related cases involving You Tube, Hotfile and Zediva. It also argues that Amazon Cloud Player is an afforded protection by the Digital Millenium Copyright Act.
