- Title
When VBAC Is Unsuccessful.
- Authors
Tran, Andrea
- Abstract
The author focuses on unsuccessful vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC). She stresses that there will always be cesarean deliveries and some of those will be for women who planned or hoped for a VBAC. She notes the role birth educators may play in facilitating the healing needed when a woman gives birth by cesarean again. She mentions that when formulating a VBAC birth plan, women should be encouraged to include their preferences for a cesarean in case one should become necessary.
