- Abstract
The article aims to contribute new perspectives to the mail-order bride discourse and insights of transnational marriages between Thai women and European men. According to Danish and international context, there are five important themes that describe the discourse. These include the notion that the woman is a victim of illegal trafficking, Thai women are victims of violence, and represent a weak group without a social network in Denmark or connections to their country of origin. Moreover, an ethnographic context, a care-economic analysis of transnational marriages, and how a transnational network helps these marriages are presented.
