- Abstract
The article discusses the occurrence of social disadvantage due to religious beliefs in social systems. The article posts a certain situation that happened between a Muslim and the Inner London Education Authority (ILEA) regarding his existing employment accommodation. The issue of Ahmad, the Muslim whose situation is tackled in the article, was brought to the Court of Appeals where his case was evaluated. Contrasting notions on the issue are also discussed in the article. The author also established a discussion divided into three parts which sheds light on belief and choice, freedom of belief, diversity, and the identification of consequences.
