"ALL THAT GLITTERS": REAPPRAISING "GOLDEN LAND".
- Authors
Ramsey, D. Matthew
- Abstract
The article offers a critical look at the short story "Golden Land," by William Faulkner. According to the author, while most critics read the story biographically, an ideological perspective opens other avenues of interpretation, including the use of homophobia and sexuality in the story. The sexuality of the character Voyd is discussed.
