- Abstract
This work aims to analyze the place of polytechnic education in the new National Curriculum Guidelines (DCN) for Vocational and Technological Education (EPT) (Resolution CNE/CP n° 01/2021). It starts from the assumption that the Brazilian EPT is undergoing a process of counter-reform, inserted in the more general context of neoliberal educational reform. A periodization of this process is established, showing that the document in question is a landmark of consolidation of the EPT's counter-reform. The methodology used is Content Analysis, with three units of record being defined a priori: confrontation with the condition of structural duality in education; critical and comprehensive understanding of the world, based on scientific knowledge; close link between the curriculum and the actuality and the community in which the school is inserted. The conclusion indicates the absence of the perspective posed by polytechnics, confirming the hypothesis that the aforementioned resolution is consistent with the current national secondary education reform.
