- Abstract
In order to analyze the research related to the teaching of Nature Sciences in the early years of Elementary School, available in the Proceedings of the National Research Meeting in Science Education (Encontro Nacional de Pesquisa em Educação em Ciências - ENPEC) in the period 2009-2019, this paper presents a review systematic research selected and analyzed following the assumptions of the PRISMA method (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis). Which is a methodology that starts from a pertinent and concise questioning linked to a topic of interest and, based on the use of systematic and explicit methods, aims to identify, select and analyze relevant research in order to present their contributions to the specific knowledge area. Thus, the present article is organized in distinct, but parallel sessions, which highlight the importance of science teaching in the light of the student's comprehensive education. In the end, passages were identified that are interconnected in the conception that in the individual level of education one should mobilize the students' previous knowledge and pay attention to the processes of approximation and systematization of scientific knowledge, instead of the mere conceptual appropriation of the phenomenon.
