Antropología Física o Biología Humana: ¿Un debate cerrado?

- Abstract
During the development of the Physical Anthropology as discipline dedicated to the biological study of man, along the XX century, appeared different denominations to this new field of scientific study (Physical Anthropology, Biological Anthropology, Human Biology, Bioanthropology...), more or less adjusted to the epistemological sense and object of the emergent scientific field in the scene of the modern sciences. In order to check the state of this nominative debate in the moment of the century change, a questionnaire was distributed between the teachers of the units and departments of the spanish universities with teaching areas of Physical Anthropology. The obtained data of this survey showed the persistence of a consent lack among the community of the spanish physical anthropologists. The interest for this debate is not only limited to the nominal or formal questions, but such different denominations imply underlying questions related with different conceptions and focuses of the discipline associated to each term.
