- Abstract
The main goal of a poly-factor field experiment with sugar beet realized in 2014 -- 2016 by the Department of Crop Production of SUA in Nitra was to investigate the influence of certain factors (year, variety, biopreparation) on molasses components in the root, white sugar yield, and white sugar content. The different weather conditions in the years had a highly significant influence on all the investigated parameters. In 2014, the lowest values of K+ and α-aminoN were recorded. White sugar yield and white sugar content were highest in 2016. Genotype variability of selected varieties had a highly significant influence on all the investigated parameters except white sugar yield. The best rate of molasses components was recorded in the Kant variety. The Antek variety reached the highest white sugar content 15.54% and the Galvani variety had the highest white sugar yield 12.43 t-ha-1. Algaebased biopreparations (Alga 300 P, K and Alga 600) used in the experiment had a highly significant influence the decrease in α-aminoN content, significantly influenced potassium content in sugar beet juice and white sugar yield (Alga 600, 12.43 t-ha-1). No significant influence of this factor on the remaining monitored parameters (sodium and white sugar content) was recorded.
