- Abstract
The composite system based on the mixture of nanosilicas and yeast cells was investigated. It has been found that the optimal ratio of hydrophilic and hydrophobic nanosilicas as part of the nanocomposite is 1 : 1 with the yeasts amount of 50%. The nanosilica presence in the nanocomposite results in the increase of the yeast cells biomass by 2.5 times at the solid phase concentration 0.5 g and by 6 times-1 g. Thus, studied nanocomposite is an effective biodestruction agent of motor oil hydrocarbons in the aqueous medium.
