- Abstract
In this study, the subjects of Modernism, Individual and Alienation in Roman Graf's novel named Mr. Blanc are investigated. Purpose of the study is to reveal the effect of modernism on individual by addressing the problem of alienation in the given novel. For this purpose, dependent and non -dependent on text form of works have been used. Roman Graft, remain one of the important representatives of contemporary Swiss literature and in his Mr. Blanc Novel, handled the person who can be seen as the smallest component of society. Graft, are queried argumentatively on the one hand, given up the things on behalf of regular and safe life of individual on the other hand causing discrepancies by giving up things.. There is individual that focus of Graft's direct criticism notices the incorrectness, has opportunity for fixing, in spite of that take no chances and not try for solving on behalf of disruption of order.
