- Title
REPORTING WITH THE INNER EYE: GEORGE PLIMPTON ON WRITING AND SPORTS.
- Abstract
An interview with U.S. journalist and sportsman George Plimpton is presented. He explains that author Ernest Hemingway was writing about bullfighting in "Death in the Afternoon," but was also writing about something that is considered a national sport in Spain. Plimpton believes that as a writer, a great deal about a character is revealed through action. He adds that all writers are intimating the mode of conduct of people who usually face some confrontation or encounter.
