Migrants can leave their home country because they seek for a better life abroad (emigrants), or because they are forced to leave due to political pressure (fugitives). According to post-hoc tests, these were due to differences for the PTED scale and the BEI between emigrants and fugitives, and for the BEI also between emigrants and residents.
