- Abstract
The article discusses the contributions made by the journal Allergy in the field of COVID-19 research. The journal published its first COVID-19 article in February 2020, which provided important insights into the clinical characteristics and spread of the disease. Subsequent studies supported the finding that asthma and allergies are not risk factors for SARS-CoV-2 infection. The journal also published research on the immunological mechanisms of COVID-19, guidelines for clinical practice during the pandemic, and the impact of COVID-19 on allergic diseases. Additionally, the journal addressed topics such as COVID-19 vaccines, allergic reactions, and long-term effects of the disease. The articles published in Allergy have had a significant impact on the prevention and treatment of COVID-19.
