- Abstract
The article focuses on a study that examined the importance of partnership status on the mental health of men treated for localized prostate cancer. It is stated that participants chose treatment with radical prostatectomy, external-beam therapy or brachtherapy. The study concluded that partnership status had no effect on physical or mental health, but partnered patients had less bowel bother and a low fear of recurrence as compared to unpartnered patients.
