- Abstract
The article presents a study which investigated the association between serum carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) level and epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutations in recurrent lung adenocarcinomas. The authors investigated the medical records of 48 lung adenocarcinoma patients with postoperative disease recurrence who underwent chemotherapy. They observed that the serum CEA level is closely associated with the presence of EGFR gene mutations in patients with pulmonary adenocarcinomas.
