- Abstract
The article discusses the improvement in the resilience of Bank of England's Real-Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) infrastructure. It mentions role played by RTGS infrastructure in the settlement of majority of electronic payments made by the Great Britain's population. It also mentions RTGS infrastructure accommodates two models of interbank settlement- RTGS and deferred net settlement (DNS) and adds the eMarket Infrastructure Resiliency Service' (MIRS) for use when RTGS infrastructure fails.
