Foot and mouth returns to UK.
- Abstract
The article reports on the existence of foot and mouth disease (FMD) in Great Britain. The report has noted the two confirmed cases of the disease in Surrey since August 3, 2007. It has indicated that the strain of virus has been identified as Type 01 BFS, which is the strain recovered from the 1967 FMD epidemic in the country. Ireland Minister for Agriculture and Food, Mary Coughlan, has been keeping in close contact with National Disease Control Centre (NDCC) to review the outbreak.
