- Abstract
The article presents the case of a 45-year-old man with severe bronchospasm following a flu-like illness. The patient had a previous history of asthma controlled with regular inhalation of Ventolin and Becotide. Prolonged ventilation for severe asthma caused by Guillain-Barr´-Strohl syndrome was required for a total of 16 days. Plasma exchange has been used that produced rapid improvement in the patient.
