- Abstract
Researches based on the impact of the tablet in primary Education are still limited currently. However, the amount of educational applications (App) to work with in the classroom increases every day. Therefore, this research seeks to analyze the utilities and obstacles that arise from educational applications use with the digital tablet at this stage. This work is part of a qualitative research with an ethnographic-virtual narrative approach. The information collection was carried out through a internet scan of most downloaded and used 60 digital applications, suitable for educational use, according to two main platforms: Apple Store and Google Play. A content analysis has been applied to the obtained data through the Analysis of Qualitative Data program. Main results of this study show that the educational applications used with digital tablet are a resource with many pedagogical possibilities. Benefits are associated with technical and design aspects (a good installation and commissioning system) as well those of pedagogical type (motivational activities and attitudinal development) are highlighted. Main obstacles presented by educational App in primary education are associated with poor updating (which impedes its proper functioning), ads presence and inadequate information along with limitations in the available activities type.
