- Abstract
The article focuses on the waste cleanup initiatives made by Fluor Hanford Inc. in Washington. Fluor developed a work plan in March 2007 which will add 238 characterisation activities in the Central Plateau, a large land area in the central region, for 2007-2010 to locate contamination areas. Its Waste Stabilization & Disposition Project operates ten major solid and liquid processing for radioactive or hazardous wastes. An overview of the cleanup initiatives of Fluor in its nearly 11 years in the site is offered. It notes that the initiatives had offered major and positive impacts to the site.
