- Abstract
The article discusses the decision of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to lower the minimum age for female missionaries in 2012. Topics addressed include the positive reception of the decision by young Mormon women and large increases in missionary applicants, comments regarding implicit gender inequality still remaining within the Church's policies, and questions regarding possible future trends.
