- Authors
Botelho, Agostinho; Morais, Ana M.
- Abstract
This article discusses student learning at science exhibits in a museum. This sociological study was designed to assess student-exhibit interactions and the relationships to procedures and concept understanding. The authors concluded that what the students did had little influence on what they learned. They argue that what the student could see or do helped little in understanding the scientific concepts involved. They suggest that some student interactions with exhibits might lead to the development of misconceptions.
