- Abstract
The article presents a case study which tries to analyses how far scientific attitude is developed in students of ninth and tenth standards as related to the modes that could be used to make the study more affective and enhancement of teaching methodologies. Students from a high school in Beaumont, California were examined. Areas examined were curiosity habit, desire for accuracy, understanding of the cause and effect relationships, demand for sufficient supports to prove scientific conclusions, impartiality and respect for views of other students. Students were later divided into three groups of freshman, sophomore and junior classes. Their Intelligence Quotient and attitude score were calculated. On the basis of study it was found that enhanced science teaching modes and supporting texts have no affect on scientific attitude score.
