- Abstract
The article presents a case describing a real-life situation faced by Amit Kapoor, Managing Director (MD) of Automotive Equipment Manufacturing Limited (AEML), a state government enterprise in India, at strategic, functional or operational level. The case mentions about Board of Directors' meeting in which Kapoor was informed that state government was unable to provide financial support to sinking firm. The case describes failure of state government-enterprise.
