- Abstract
By the 31st of December 2012, 458 290 persons (132 449 of them women, i.e. 28.9%) in the Czech Republic worked at risk (2R, 3, and 4). Most subjects working at risk were in the Moravian-Silesian region (90 582) -- even in the relative number per 100 000 inhabitants. 86% of these employees were in risk category 3, 11% were in risk category 2 and 3% were in risk category 4. Noise was the most frequent risk factor (39% of subjects), physical load (14% of persons) and followed by dust (10% of individuals). In 2012, 1 099 occupational diseases were reported (occupational diseases and persons endangered by an occupational disease). Most occupational diseases were reported for the causal risk factor of physical load and risk factor of vibration, where there is no effective personal protection for the employee and emerging occupational diseases are not captured in time by preventive occupational- medical care.
