The article reports on the importance of implementing a standard name policy in the seafood industry in Australia. It presents the insights of Roy Palmer, chairman of the Australian Fish Names Committee and chief executive officer (CEO) of Seafood Experience Australia, regarding the significance of an effective and consistent labeling of seafood products. Palmer notes that confusion in fish names is the biggest barrier for consumers in the country to purchase seafood products.
