- Abstract
Since March 2020 (SARS-CoV-2) that the first cases of the virus appeared in Kosovo (SARS-CoV-2) has greatly burdened the world economy, including that of Kosovo. Faced with a potentially serious health condition, the government of Kosovo, like the governments of other European countries, began to implement strict control measures which have slowed down a large part of the country's economy. From March to May 2020, the country has been almost completely blocked, where foreign activities have been strictly prohibited, while a very small part of businesses in the country have operated. As businesses faced great difficulties in operating and providing services to citizens, the number of jobseekers in the country increased much more than in the past. The increased economic crisis is predicted to cause problems for a long period of time in the economic development of the country, and this will further deepen the trade deficit in Kosovo. The government of the country should draft policies for recovery and subsidizing local businesses.
