- Authors
Stadelmann, Marcus
- Abstract
The article explores the European extreme right, particularly Jobbik or The Movement for a Better Hungary. It looks at the movement's supporters and core issues driving it and discusses how Jobbik deviates from the established model of extreme right parties. Formed by David Kovacs and Gabor Vona in 20013, Jobbik started as a student association concerned about the condition of Hungary amid ineffective conservative rule and a socialist government. The growing participation of Jobbik in Hungarian politics is discussed.
