- Abstract
The article discusses the overregulation in health care industry by considering the effects that regulatory controls may have on innovation in the health sector. It is stated that regulatory control may be the significant manipulator of health care costs and affects costs by preventing innovation in service delivery and quality improvement. The disruptive innovation in the primary care delivery system and challenges of improving the regulatory environment is also discussed.
