- Title
REALITY AS ARTIFACT: FROM FEIST TO FAIR USE.
- Authors
Gordon, Wendy J.
- Abstract
The article raises several copyright-related issues, particularly those that do not primarily attempt to portray, reflect or describe facts. A reference to the U.S. Supreme Court case Feist Publications Inc. vs. Rural Telephone Service Co. Inc. was made by the author, as the Court decided to deny copyright to the white pages of a Kansas telephone book. According to the author, works of indisputable creativity are used as facts in many contexts.
