- Abstract
The article focuses on decision of the U.S. Court of Appeals for Ninth Circuit in the case United States v. Cano which held that certain limitations apply to searches of cell phones at the border. It mentions search intrudes upon the privacy of an individual, the search is only valid if the government actor had reasonably believed that the cell phone possessed contraband. It mentions involvement in drug trafficking with Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA).
