- Authors
Felix, Alison; Watkins, Kate
- Abstract
The article discusses aging population as one of the many factors that U.S. policymakers might consider in developing future tax policies in response to changing business conditions and constituent demands. It notes the crucial role of the demographic change in reducing individual income taxes and sales taxes in nearly every state in the country on a per capita basis in the coming years. The impact of demographic change on the cost of government services is also outlined.
