- Abstract
The Indonesian government, through 4 ministries, namely the Minister of Health, the Minister of Home Affairs, the Minister of Religion and the Minister of Education and Culture, issued a joint decree regarding the Guidelines for the Implementation of Learning During the 2019 Coronavirus Disease Pandemic . Based on the SKB, the government facilitates the implementation of distance learning and limited face-to-face learning. at all levels of education. The government's decision has various responses from the community, including students who are directly involved in implementing this policy. Many students expressed opinions regarding this policy, both positive and negative opinions. In this study, a sentiment analysis was conducted which aims to determine the sentiments given by students regarding the application of face-toface learning for the 2021/2022 academic year obtained through a questionnaire and applying the Naïve Bayes Classifier ̈ method . Using a dataset of 5350 opinions from 1070 respondents. Based on the sentiment analysis process carried out, it can be concluded that students from the State Islamic University of North Sumatra Medan support the implementation of face-to-face learning (PTM) within the UIN-SU Medan in the even semester of the 2021 /2022 academic year. The accuracy produced by the Naïve Bayes Classifier ̈ method when classifying sentiment (opinion) can be said to be good, which is 84%. After carrying out the system validation process by applying K-Fold Cross Validation, the value of K=10 turned out to be the Nai ve Bayes Classifier method succeeded in obtaining good accuracy, with an average accuracy of 83%.
