- Abstract
The article examines the bone repatriation issue that has disrupted the old relationship between anthropologists and Indian. It reports that the defenders of Indian concerns and religions against government and Christian meddling, the anthropologist now is seen by Indians as an adversary. The old adversaries—government and religious groups—now are seen as allies. The bone repatriation issue has indeed made for strange bedfellows.
