Effect of Taste on Acceptance of Topical Fluorides.

- Abstract
The article presents information about two studies on the taste testing of fluoride gels. In one of the study, 20 fourth year dental hygiene students of the University of Missouri, Kansas City took part. They were asked to taste testing of eight different flavors of 1.23% acidulated phosphate fluoride gel. Students were instructed to taste each flavor in a uniform manner. The second study was designed to simulate the use of the products in more normal clinical situation. In this study about 30 freshman dental students took part.
