- Title
The Interim Immediate Denture.
- Authors
Langer, Anselm
- Abstract
The article discusses the different approaches in immediate denture replacement. It is stated that an immediate denture is a prosthesis created before the extraction of all remaining natural teeth and placed in the mouth right after surgery. The four ways to tooth replacement include replacing immediately after extraction with a prosthesis prepared beforehand, shortly after extraction, six months after surgery, and construction of a partial immediate denture after extraction of part of the teeth. However, with the new techniques and dental materials, delay is no longer an issue in providing immediate denture service.
